The Blackbird Plants The Olive.

Olive seeds have all the features of the plant-olive like other seeds. The wild olive trees titled “Delice” appear when the olive seeds germinate. However, the thick and woody structure of olive seed hinderes the conversion to an olive tree. The blackbird does its duty here. It eats the olive but cannot digest the seed. But, while the seed passes through the craw of the blackbird, the crust wears out and gets thinner. This olive seed, which falls to the soil and gets thinner, is now ready to become a new olive tree.

We use the image of a “Blackbird” in our olive oil labels in order to support the prohibition for hunting it, by pointing out the importance of the Blackbird in planting the olive tree and olive cultivation.

Let us all know about this Anadolu Hazineleri project, and contribute to making in known by everyone…

The re-discovery of
ANADOLU HAZİNELERİ…

My Dear Friend Fatih Cenikli,

I have been following your struggle (partially from the inside, partially from the outside) for qualified olive oil for approximately for 20 years. We could not prevent nearly 6 thousand olive trees being cut down and removed in Soma-Yirca for mining explorations, but the project of “Anadolu Hazineleri”, which you have started so that Turkey discovers and protects its values, has got me excited in these days when we are witnessing the loss of everything against ordinariness, and has raised my weakening hopes for the future.

As a person witnessing your perception of quality, your meticulousness, knowledge and determination to achieve by making no concessions to originality, I think, apart from us, this new process you started with Olives and Olive Oil rejoices the hazelnut of Giresun, the apricot of Malatya, the fig of Aydin and many treasures of Anatolia that seem to be sinking into oblivion.

I am sure that the people of this country will take an interest in the products of Anadolu Hazineleri, just like they did for your products that you developed while in “Tariş” and managed to cross the ocean, and for “Zeytin İskelesi” in which you changed the rules of the game with a modest communications budget.

God speed to you!

Atilla Aksoy
